Our Mission

The Shenandoah Parks and Recreation Department strives to improve the quality of life for area youth and adults by offering a wide range of leisure activities and providing open spaces for this enjoyment.

Park Board Members

Park Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 5:00 P.M. at City Hall.

Shenandoah Golf Course

The Shenandoah Golf Course is one of the finest in the area. Set in the rolling hills and trees on the south side of Shenandoah, this golf course is a golfer’s dream. This 18 hole, 6000 yard course provides challenging tree-lined fairways with undulating greens.

The Clubhouse can be reserved for those special occasions. The Clubhouse provides a comfortable, relaxing atmoshere overlooking the scenic golf course. Please contact the Golf Shop at  712-581-9057.

Bricker Senior Center

The Bricker Senior Center is located at 405 W. Sheridan Avenue at the site of the former Shenandoah Historical Society. The Center was extensively remodeled in 2003 and provides a delightful atmosphere for Seniors age 60 and over to gather to enjoy a variety of activities.

  • Page County Public Health has a clinic at the Senior Center the first Tuesday of every month.
  • The second Tuesday of each month there is a catered dinner at 11:30 a.m. with reservations required by the preceding Friday.
  • The third Wednesday of each month is Movie Day.
  • The first Thursday is Brown Bag Bingo.

Regular activities during the week include

  • Dance Exercise
  • Playing Cards
  • Board Games/Puzzles
  • Pool
  • Snooker

The Senior Center is also available to rent for parties. For more detailed information regarding the schedule of activities call the Senior Center at 246-2002.
