Shenandoah has many events and celebrations
that residents and visitors can participate in throughout
the year. Regular events include:
Thursday-at-the-Flatiron is a celebration held monthly
from May through September. Entertainment and refreshments
are provided by local businesses. Shoppers are encouraged
to take advantage of the late store hours.
The Garden City Shenfest is a fall celebration that
features a parade, fun run, tractor show, kid's games,
Miss Shenandoah and Little Miss Shenandoah Pageant
and more fun-filled activities for all.
The "Night the Lights Come On" kicks off
the holiday season. The lights on the 60-foot tree
outside City Hall are illuminated along with lighted
deer decorations on each corner downtown. Santa makes
his first appearance of the season!
Farmer's Market is open in front of City Hall from
June to September. Everything is homegrown and handmade!
